Job summary
Wood in Muscat, Oman, seeks a Senior Piping Engineer to join its Projects team and lead the translation of Concept Selection Reports into full process design and project specifications for FEED and detail design.
The role requires a Chemical Engineering degree and at least six years in upstream oil & gas process engineering with FEED experience, plus strong leadership and English communication skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Technology/Engineering (Chemical) degree.
- Minimum 6 years upstream oil & gas process engineering.
- Minimum 6 years FEED/Engineering experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Experience managing small teams and contractors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Process Engineering CTR Catalogue for projects.
- Supervise a team of process engineers assigned to a project area.
- Contribute to Basis for Design, Basis of Design, and Project Specifications/Philosophies.
- Carry out/review Process Simulations Models and Flare & Blowdown Simulations.
- Generate/review Heat & Material Balance (HMB) Tables.
- Develop/review Process/Utility Flow Schemes and Control Narrative.
- Develop/review Safeguarding Flow Schemes and Plant Safeguarding.
- Review Sizing for Process Equipment and Relief Valves.
- Carry out/review Line Hydraulics and provide inputs to Line Listing.
- Participate in Design Reviews, HAZOPs, IPF Classifications, 3D Model reviews.
