Job summary

Asmacs in Oman seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance of hydraulic, pneumatic, and toggle-clamping systems on injection molding machines (150T–1000T+).

You will troubleshoot high‑pressure circuits, perform pump rebuilds, and supervise maintenance of plant auxiliaries such as cooling towers, chilled water, and compressed air systems, while enforcing Lockout/Tagout and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Machinery Engineering.
• 7–10 years industrial maintenance experience in plastics manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of hydraulic schematics, pump rebuilds, and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and PPM for hydraulic/pneumatic systems on injection molding machines; troubleshoot high‑pressure circuits and valves.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee mechanical repairs and planned preventive maintenance (PPM) for hydraulic, pneumatic, and toggle-clamping systems on injection molding machines (150T–1000T+). Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues in high-pressure hydraulic circuits, proportional valves, variable displacement pumps, and barrel-screw assemblies. Supervise maintenance of plant auxiliary equipment, including chilled water systems, centralized cooling towers, compressed air systems, and material dehumidifiers. Coordinate major machinery overhauls, barrel/screw replacements (bimetallic/wear-resistant for CPVC), tie-bar alignment checks, and pump rebuilds. Establish critical mechanical spare parts stocking strategies, monitoring consumption rates and minimizing unplanned downtime. Enforce mechanical safety standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and ensure strict compliance with plant safety and environmental regulations.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Machinery Engineering from an accredited university.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
