Job summary

Meranti Green Steel seeks an HSE & Process Safety Manager to lead all health, safety, environment, and process safety activities across the DRI Plant lifecycle, from EPC through startup and operations.

You will drive a Zero Harm culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage high-hazard construction safety risks, risk assessments, and emergency readiness in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in OH&S, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• NEBOSH International Diploma required.
• CSP certification preferred.
• Training in Process Safety Management is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the overall HSE strategy for the DRI Plant project and operations.
• Establish HSE objectives, KPIs, and improvement programs.
• Lead HSE for EPC, commissioning, start-up and operations.
• Manage construction HSE activities and review contractor safety plans.
• Oversee Process Safety Management, risk assessments (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA) and MOC processes.
• Lead emergency preparedness planning and incident investigations.
