Job summary

The Senior GL Accountant role supports the Accounting Manager in maintaining an accurate general ledger, producing statutory financial reports, and ensuring IFRS compliance for the group. It requires strong analytical skills in a fast-paced environment in Muscat, Oman.

Responsibilities include monthly closings, consolidation inputs, and coordinating with auditors and external authorities to ensure timely reporting to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Accounting or equivalent.
• ACCA or CPA preferable or evidence of progress toward certification.
• Minimum of 6 years experience, with 3 years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in strategic financial information to guide management decisions.
• Provide inputs to the Business Plan/Budget as required.
• Generate ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
