Job summary

NTG in Muscat seeks a Senior Financial Controller to own accounting end-to-end, close, controls, cash, and analysis for a national-scale business.

You will lead financial analysis, feasibility studies, and due diligence for growth, with strong emphasis on IFRS compliance, audits, and treasury discipline. Arabic language is a plus and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; professional qualification preferred.
• Strong IFRS expertise, including revenue recognition for long-term contracts.
• Proven experience scaling finance for tech or enterprise services.
• Experience with audits, tax, and statutory compliance end-to-end.
• Excellent communication; English fluency, Arabic a plus.

We are hiring a Senior Financial Controller, on-site in Muscat, to be the financial and accounting brain of a company built for national scale.

What you'll do: Own accounting and finance end-to-end, the close, the controls, the cash, the analysis, and the deals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own accounting end-to-end: monthly, quarterly, and annual close under International Financial Reporting Standards, delivered fast and delivered right
• Drive proactive reporting and early warning: margins, cash, commitments, and risks surfaced with solutions attached, never surprises
• Lead the financial analysis the business runs on: profitability, cost structure, pricing support, and scenario modeling
• Run feasibility studies for new ventures and markets, and lead financial due diligence when we acquire companies
• Negotiate payment terms, banking facilities, credit lines, and guarantees that fund delivery at national scale
• Design the internal control environment: policies, segregation of duties, and approval frameworks built to pass any audit
• Manage external audit, tax, and statutory compliance end to end
• Command cash flow, working capital, and treasury discipline across major vendor and program commitments
• Stand up the finance systems stack: enterprise resource planning, planning and consolidation tools, and automated reporting
• Build and mentor the accounting and finance team as the company scales

What makes you a fit:

• You have been the financial brain of a scaling technology or enterprise services company: accounting and finance both, never one without the other
• You know International Financial Reporting Standards cold, including revenue recognition for long-term, milestone-based contracts
• You report proactively: problems surfaced early, solutions attached, leadership never surprised
• You have negotiated with banks and vendors: facilities, guarantees, and payment terms that protected cash and margin
• You have run feasibility studies and financial due diligence, and can value what we build and what we buy
• You treat internal controls as design constraints from the start, never bolt ons
• You are fluent in finance systems: enterprise resource planning, planning tools, and automation everywhere it pays
• You hold a Bachelor's or higher in Accounting or Finance, with CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or an equivalent professional qualification
• You communicate numbers so sharply that decision makers move on them
• Bonus points for government contracting, public sector billing, or merger and acquisition transaction experience
• Fluent English required; Arabic is a valuable advantage
