Job summary

The PAC Group seeks several Senior Process Engineers for an on-site, long-term project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will own one process area (stator, rotor, motor assembly/test, gearbox, inverter) and drive the end-to-end value stream from installation through ramp-up to full production.

Responsibilities include defining processes, leading DOE and PPAP, and implementing error-proofing while coordinating with suppliers and customers on JIT/JIS requirements.

Qualifications

• MSc or equivalent engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5–10 years of process engineering experience in high-volume manufacturing, ideally automotive powertrain/components or similar takt-driven environments.
• Hands-on production-floor ownership of a manufacturing process at rate (not only design).
• Strong knowledge of takt-based manufacturing, cycle-time analysis, line balancing, OEE, bottleneck analysis, and downtime reduction.
• Practical experience using SPC/DOE/MSA/Gage R&R and capability analysis with tools like Minitab, JMP, Python, or R.
• Strong command of automotive quality methodologies: PFMEA, control plans, 8D, root-cause analysis, APQP, and PPAP.
• Ability to work with MES, SCADA, historians, traceability systems, and test databases.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; ability to defend technical positions with management and suppliers.
• Willingness to relocate to Saudi Arabia and reside there for the full project duration (Sept 2026–Dec 2027).
• Ability to work 100% onsite at the client’s facility.

Responsibilities

• Own the process definition for assigned perimeter including process flow, cycle-time, parameter windows, control plans, PFMEA, work instructions, and change control.
• Lead equipment commissioning, SAT, process capability studies, DOE activities, and qualification runs.
• Deliver APQP and PPAP requirements for your area.
• Engineer to takt by balancing stations and eliminating bottlenecks and micro-stops.
• Drive ramp-up to full-rate production using data on scrap, rework, and downtime to close gaps.
• Act as first-line technical escalation point for production; apply 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, Shainin.
• Make containment decisions with Production and Quality.
• Design/validate error-proofing (poka-yoke, inline verification, torque monitoring, traceability).
• Build data foundation via SPC and MES for critical characteristics.
• Support customer/supplier interfaces, JIT/JIS delivery, PPAP for components; collaborate with suppliers.
• Contribute to safety/compliance across HV work, handling of magnets, laser safety, chemicals, ergonomic risk assessments.
• Train and coach technicians on process fundamentals and troubleshooting.
