Job summary

Dewan Consultants is seeking a Senior Chemical Plant Operator in Saudi Arabia to safely operate and monitor processing, blending, reactors, and tank farm facilities. You will manage start-up, normal operations, shutdowns, and emergency shutdowns while ensuring adherence to SOPs and QHSE requirements.

The role requires 8–12 years in chemical/petrochemical/oil & gas sectors, with strong knowledge of process equipment and pumps. English basics needed to follow SOPs and instructions.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Chemical Technology or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, or Oil & Gas industries.
• Strong experience in Chemical Processing Plants and Reactor Operations.
• Good knowledge of process equipment, pumps, vacuum systems, heating and cooling systems.
• Basic English skills with the ability to follow SOPs and operating instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemical processing, blending, formulation, reactors, and tank farm facilities.
• Handle plant start-up, normal operations, shutdown, and emergency shutdown.
• Execute chemical batches as per approved batch sheets and SOPs.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, flow, level, vacuum, heating, and cooling parameters.
• Operate reactors and equipment including Vacuum Pumps, Centrifugal Pumps, Gear Pumps, Heaters, Hot Oil Systems, and Cooling Towers.
• Coordinate tanker unloading, raw material transfer, reactor charging, and chemical handling.
• Identify equipment faults, leaks, alarms, and process deviations and take corrective action.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, QA/QC, Laboratory, QHSE, and Logistics teams.
• Maintain production logs, batch sheets, equipment checklists, and operational records.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, PTW, PPE, and QHSE requirements.
• Train junior operators and respond to plant emergencies as per approved procedures.

Salary : Monthly Total: SAR 7000

Basic 5000 + 25% housing + 10% transport.
