ASBIS is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure compliance with financial regulations in Al Buraymi, Oman. The role includes managing full-cycle accounting, preparing financial statements, and executing tax reporting responsibilities.

Details: ASBIS is looking for a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and effective financial controls to support business operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional qualification (SOCPA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred
• 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably within international distribution, FMCG, or trading environments
• Strong knowledge of KSA accounting standards, VAT, Zakat, and statutory requirements
• Hands‑on experience dealing with ZATCA, audits, and regulatory reporting
• Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and strong MS Excel skills
• High attention to detail, integrity, and strong organizational skills

Functions

• Manage full-cycle accounting and month‑end/year‑end closing in accordance with IFRS and KSA regulations
• Prepare financial statements, management reports, and cash‑flow forecasts
• Execute invoice processing, expense control, payroll accounting, VAT, Zakat, and other tax reporting
• Ensure compliance with Saudi tax laws and regulations, including ZATCA (VAT, Zakat, Corporate Tax) filings and audits
• Oversee AR, AP, inventory accounting, and fixed assets
• Maintain strong internal controls and support internal and external audits
• Coordinate with banks, auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities
• Support compliance with Saudization (Nitaqat) requirements where applicable
• Assist in process improvements, automation, and financial system enhancements
