Job summary

Gender is seeking a Safety Officer to perform risk assessments, enforce OHS policies, and investigate incidents. The role requires leading safety training for new hires and conducting ongoing drills to raise awareness of workplace safety. You will maintain compliance records and coordinate with regulatory bodies to meet local requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Safety with NABOSH certification and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in safety operations within industrial settings.

Role & responsibilities Risk Assessment: Perform regular site inspections and audits to identify potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions. Policy Enforcement: Monitor day-to-day operations to ensure staff comply with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents or near-misses, prepare comprehensive reports, and implement corrective measures. Training & Education: Lead safety orientations for new hires and conduct ongoing safety drills, workshops, and awareness programs. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of safety protocols and liaise with external regulatory bodies to meet statutory and local legal requirements.
