Job summary

Techstack is building an AI-powered platform for skills training and development with NLP search and in-house AI models. You will work on full-stack development across Ruby, Python, and TypeScript, delivering complex features end-to-end in a fast-paced, multi-country environment.

You will collaborate with senior and staff engineers, drive release management, and ensure RTL-ready UI in a React-based PWA while growing with the team and shaping the engineering culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead technical design, architectural planning, and delivery of features end-to-end.
• Architect scalable, secure back-end with a full-stack team (Ruby, Python, TypeScript).
• Drive release management, CI/CD improvements, and PostgreSQL performance tuning.
• Elevate engineering standards via code reviews and architecture guidance.
• Interface with customer teams for integrations and requirements.
• Ensure fully localized RTL layouts in the React PWA.
• Write API documentation for new and existing features.

Job description

Our client is building an AI-powered platform for skills training and development, leveraging NLP search and in-house AI models to enhance the user experience. The product is deployed across multiple countries and languages, supports full localization including RTL layouts, and actively integrates LLMs into everyday business processes.

Languages: Ruby (Ruby on Rails), Python, TypeScript

Frontend: React, Progressive Web Application (PWA), RTL layout support

Infrastructure / DevOps: Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, release management tooling, multi-tenant cloud deployments

AI/ML: LLMs (in-house AI models), natural language search, AI-assisted development / agentic workflows

You'll join a small, tightly-knit team of senior and staff engineers working on full-stack development across Ruby, Python, and TypeScript. The team collaborates closely with client stakeholders and technical leaders, actively participates in scaling the engineering organization, and integrates AI tools into daily workflows — from writing code to running full agentic loops.

Your responsibilities

Lead technical design, architectural planning, and hands-on delivery of complex product features end-to-end.

Architect scalable and secure system design and back-end implementations, in collaboration with a full-stack team working on Ruby, Python, and TypeScript.

Drive release management, CI/CD pipeline improvements, and PostgreSQL performance optimization to ensure seamless deployments.

Elevate engineering standards across internal and client-facing teams through code review, architecture guidance, and proactive risk management.

Serve as a technical interface to customer teams - enabling integrations, understanding customer-specific requirements, and monitoring results and data flows.

Support high-quality UX and visual design, including fully localized right-to-left (RTL) layouts in our React-based Progressive Web Application.

Contribute clear, customer-facing API documentation for new and existing features.

Write comprehensive test coverage, including complex synthetic datasets and ad-hoc scalability testing.

Build secure, robust integrations with LLMs, in-house AI models, vector databases, and natural language search engines.

Investigate and resolve real-world performance and data issues remotely.

Manage frequent source releases in collaboration with product management and on-site engineers; support integration, customization, and acceptance testing with in-house systems.

Participate in scaling our engineering organization through new hires and improved workflows.

Mentor and collaborate with our small, integrated team of senior and staff engineers.

It's about you

8+ years of web development experience with extensive expertise in Ruby on Rails.

Demonstrated capability to read, write, and contribute to frontend applications (TypeScript/React).

Proven track record of high-level technical collaboration and partnership with external client stakeholders and technical leaders.

Passion for delivering high-quality work and engaging directly with customers on large-scale deployments across multiple countries and languages.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile team environment that uses AI pragmatically — able to make good judgment calls on when to write code yourself, when to engage AI collaborators, and when a full agentic loop provides the most value.

Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes in production environments.

Active contribution to release management, modern CI/CD automation pipelines, and DevOps workflows.

Proficiency with PostgreSQL, including query optimization; production experience with other database paradigms such as document stores (Elasticsearch or Solr), key-value stores (Redis), and background queuing systems is a plus.

Experience navigating enterprise compliance, security audits, and multi-tenant cloud deployments.

Willingness to travel on short trips to client sites a few times per year for on-site discovery and launch support.
