Job summary

Partner Company is seeking a UI/UX Director for a fully remote, executive-level leadership role focused on elevating UI/UX quality across sophisticated web and e-commerce experiences. You will bridge creative vision, user experience, and front-end execution while guiding a multidisciplinary team across strategy, design, technology, data, and commerce.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in digital design with leadership experience.
• Expert UI design with practical front-end knowledge (HTML/CSS/JS).
• Advanced Figma skills including prototyping and design tokens.
• Experience with Shopify and Adobe Commerce in e‑commerce.
• Strong UX, accessibility (WCAG), and information architecture.
• Data-informed design strategies and interpretation of analytics.
• Operational and financial acumen in capacity planning and budgets.
• Excellent storytelling and client-facing negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Set creative and technical direction for UI/UX initiatives.
• Lead mobile-first design across websites and omnichannel experiences.
• Oversee design systems, component libraries, and front-end handoffs.
• Provide leadership for complex e-commerce initiatives on Shopify/Adobe Commerce.
• Ensure visual consistency, accessibility, and high quality of craft.
• Translate business objectives into compelling digital strategies.
• Evaluate AI tools to accelerate prototyping and workflows.
• Manage and mentor UX/UI designers, fostering autonomy and collaboration.
• Own resource allocation, estimation, and forecasting for projects.
