Job summary

St. Regis is seeking a recreation attendant to create activity agendas, manage inventory, and recruit participants for guest programs in a luxury hotel setting in Muscat. You will promote a safe, enjoyable atmosphere and inform guests about available facilities and activities.

You may assist in training staff and handling guest transactions at the recreation desk. Strong communication, attention to safety, and the ability to work with diverse guests are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Create recreational activity agendas and advertisements using publishing software.
• Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform manager of low supply items.
• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests.
• Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities.
• Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members.
• Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in emergencies.
• Provide assistance to injured guests until EMS arrives.
• Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies.
• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to manager; complete safety training.
• Follow company policies; ensure uniform appearance; protect company assets.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities.
• Develop positive working relationships; communicate clearly; handle phones and transactions professionally.
• Process orders or transactions from customers and collect payment as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards; identify and implement improvements.
• Read and verify information in various formats; visually inspect tools and equipment.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and POS systems.
• Stand, walk, and lift for extended periods; move items of various sizes as needed.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
