Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support an operating refinery and petrochemical complex in Oman for a one-year engagement. The role leads the transition from API RP 580 to API RP 581 within a GE-APM environment and provides ongoing RBI leadership for site integrity programs.

Qualifications

• BSC degree in mechanical engineering (preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in petrochemical industry.
• Experience with RBI frameworks and oil & gas assets.

Responsibilities

• Lead the API 580 to API 581 transition for refinery and petrochemical units.
• Validate RBI models and ensure alignment with operating conditions and materials of construction.
• Act as site RBI technical authority and govern RBI studies and updates.
• Develop and optimize RBI strategies for equipment and inspection planning.
• Deliver training and mentoring on RBI principles and GE-APM usage.
