Job summary

Worley Parsons is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for oil and gas onshore projects in Muscat. The role focuses on standardizing equipment specs, drawings, and templates, and ensuring compliance with technical, legal, and client requirements across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include preparing process design specs, providing discipline support, coordinating design reviews, and drafting the SoW for approval by senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Must have process engineering experience in oil and gas for onshore projects.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Good knowledge of discipline design/engineering with experience across areas.

• Contributes to understanding technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
• Supports checks, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
• Ensures onshore engineering practices are adopted.
• Prepares design specifications for process works.
• Provides technical support within the discipline team and liaises with the project team.
• Coordinates review and approval of design and interfaces per client requirements.
• Prepares Process Scope of Work (SoW) and secures agreement from supervising Senior/Lead Process Engineer.
• Ensures all work is checked and approved before issue.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering

Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking

Job Responsibility:

• Supports the standardization of equipment specifications, drawings, and document templates.
• Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge, legal requirements, and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful.
• Supports the processes for checking, peer reviews, and incorporation of comments and findings.
• Ensure recognized onshore engineering practices applicable to process design are adopted.
• Prepares design specifications for process works.
• Provide technical support within the discipline team, liaise with the project team, and consult with relevant resources as required.
• Coordinate review and approval of design and interfaces on client requirements and specifications.
• Prepare Process scope of work (SoW) and seek agreement from supervising Senior/ Lead Process Engineer (or designated representative.
• Ensure all work is checked and approved before issue.

Industry Specific Experience:

• Must have process engineering experience in oil and gas for onshore projects
• Engineering experience in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
• Good knowledge of discipline design/engineering with sufficient experience in different discipline areas.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

• Full-Time Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited university
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage
