Job summary

SGS is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to oversee all activities related to electrical systems, equipment, and processes in Sur, Oman. This on-site leadership role requires strong technical direction, budgeting, and compliance with safety and design codes to ensure the integrity of electrical infrastructure across projects.

The incumbent will drive cross-team collaboration, mentor staff, and guide complex electrical projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring timely decisions

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles and design codes.
• Budgeting and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage electrical systems, equipment, and processes within approved budget and provide technical leadership.
• Drive communication between leadership, team members, and other departments for timely decisions.
• Manage electrical project interfaces, vendor selection, FAT/SAT and contractor performance for safe delivery.
• Develop technical excellence and assurance processes to ensure uninterrupted plant operation and safe equipment.
