Job summary

ADVANCED BUSINESS COMPUTING (ABC) OMAN is seeking a seasoned pre-sales engineer specializing in Fortinet and Cisco ecosystems. You will translate customer requirements into tailored network and security architectures, deliver compelling demos, and lead PoCs with vendor and internal engineering teams.

Responsibilities include responding to RFPs, preparing BoMs/BoQs, and ensuring smooth handoffs to delivery post-sale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, telecommunications or related field.
• 5+ years in technical pre-sales or networks/security in an IT integrator or enterprise.
• Fortinet NSE 5/6/7/8 or higher and Cisco CCNP or higher.

Responsibilities

• Solution design & architecture translating customer requirements into network/security architectures.
• Fortinet & Cisco specialization in design and positioning.
• Deliver product demos, PoC/PoVs, and lead vendor/internal PoCs.
• Prepare BoMs/BoQs, HLD/LLD, RFP responses and SOWs.
• Vendor and post-sales handoff to deployment teams.

Job description

• Design, present, and defend high-impact network and security solutions—specializing in Fortinet and Cisco ecosystems—to help close business opportunities and drive strategic growth.
• Respond to RFP and solution request; prepare technical proposals in line with company strategic guidelines
• Support Sales team on daily technical discussions and meetings with customers

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Architecture: Translate complex customer business and technical requirements into tailored, competitive network and security architectures.
• Fortinet & Cisco Specialization: Design and position solutions around Fortinet and Cisco.
• Technical Presentations & Proof of Concept (PoC): Deliver compelling product demos, whiteboarding sessions, and lead hands-on PoCs/PoVs alongside vendor and internal engineering teams.
• Proposals & Bidding: Prepare detailed Bills of Materials (BoMs/BoQs), high-level and low-level design (HLD/LLD) documentation, technical responses to RFPs/Renders, and SOWs.
• Vendor & Post-Sales Handoff: Maintain strong relationships with Cisco and Fortinet channel/vendor teams and ensure a smooth technical transition to the delivery/deployment team post-sale.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of technical pre-sales, systems engineering, or network/security implementation experience in an IT integrator or enterprise environment.
• Fortinet: NSE 5 / Fortinet Certified Associate or Professional (or higher like NSE 7/8).
• Cisco: CCNP (Enterprise or Security) and above
