Pool Maintenance Technician (Pool Boy)

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Pool Technician to maintain the safety, cleanliness, and chemistry of our swimming facilities. Your mission is simple: ensure the water is so clear it looks like a high-definition screen and the surrounding deck feels like a five-star resort. You'll be the face of our outdoor oasis, balancing technical maintenance with top-tier customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Water Chemistry: Test and balance pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and calcium levels to ensure a safe and comfortable swimming environment.
• Cleaning & Aesthetics: Skim surface debris, vacuum pool floors, brush walls, and empty skimmer/pump baskets daily.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on pumps, filters, and heaters. Report any mechanical issues or leaks to management immediately.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety equipment (life rings, hooks, etc.) is present and in good condition. Keep the pool deck clear of trip hazards.
• Inventory Management: Monitor chemical supplies and cleaning tools, notifying the supervisor when it’s time to restock.
• Customer Interaction: Greet guests or residents warmly and answer basic questions regarding pool hours or safety rules.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Physical Stamina: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, sun, rain) and lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., heavy bags of salt or chlorine).
• Technical Savvy: A basic understanding of water chemistry and pool filtration systems (we will provide specific training).
• Reliability: You're the "early bird." Our pools need to be pristine before the first swimmer dives in.
• Attention to Detail: You're the type of person who notices a single leaf at the bottom of a 50,000-gallon pool.
• Certification: (Optional but preferred) Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license or a willingness to obtain one.
