Job summary

Confidential is seeking a skilled technician to support industrial plant operations in Oman. The role requires a technical diploma, 2–3 years of plant experience, and English communication with basic computer skills. You will monitor PLC/HMI panels, read P&IDs, and oversee operators to ensure safe, efficient production.

Regular inspections, record-keeping, and SOP adherence are essential. The position involves working in an industrial environment with heat, noise, oil, and varying indoor/outdoor

Qualifications

• Diploma/technical certificate in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or related field.
• 2-3 years industrial plant experience; oil recycling, lubricant, refinery, or chemical plant preferred.
• English reading/writing and basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email).
• Ability to read PLC/HMI panels and monitor process parameters.
• Basic mechanical/fitter knowledge: pumps, valves, motors, tanks, filters, pipelines.
• Basic electrical knowledge: motors, MCC panels, sensors, troubleshooting.
• Ability to read P&IDs and process flow diagrams.
• Monitor plant operation: temperature, pressure, vacuum, flow, tank levels.
• Conduct regular plant inspections and equipment checks.
• Identify and report mechanical, electrical and process abnormalities.
• Supervise operators according to production requirements.
• Maintain daily production records and shift logs.
• Follow SOPs and operating instructions for efficient plant operation.
• Comfortable in industrial plant environment (heat, noise, oil, indoors/outdoors).
• Able to conduct regular plant rounds and inspect equipment.

Responsibilities

• Minimum Diploma / Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field.
• 2-3 years industrial plant experience; preferred in used oil recycling, lubricants, refinery, or chemical plants.
• Read, write and communicate in English; basic MS Word, Excel and email skills.
• Read and monitor PLC/HMI panels and process parameters.
• Maintain and supervise equipment and plant operations as required.
• Monitor and document plant performance and safety.
• Identify abnormalities and report them to supervision.
• Supervise operators according to production needs.
• Keep daily production records, shift reports and equipment logs.
• Follow SOPs and operate plant efficiently and continuously.
• Work in a hot, noisy, oily industrial environment; conduct regular rounds.
