Job summary

Tawteen in Oman is seeking a Supervisor Operator for a Used Oil Recycling Plant in Sohar to lead daily plant operations, supervise operators, and ensure safe, efficient production.

The role requires a diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical engineering, 2–3 years in industrial facilities, proficiency in English, and basic knowledge of PLC/HMI/SCADA, P&ID diagrams, and maintenance practices. Shift work, including weekends, may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have a diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in factories/industrial facilities, preferably in used oil recycling or refineries.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email).
• Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance: pumps, valves, motors, tanks, filters, pipelines.
• Basic knowledge of electrical work: motors, MCC boards, sensors, troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operators according to production requirements.
• Prepare and maintain daily production records, shift reports, and equipment records.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and operating instructions for efficient plant operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and monitor temperatures, pressures, flows, and levels.
• Identify and report mechanical, electrical, or process malfunctions and abnormalities.

We are looking for a Supervisor Operator to work at a Used Oil Recycling Plant in Sohar

Minimum qualifications and experience

• A minimum of a diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical Electrical or Chemical Engineering or any related specialization
• Experience of two to three years in factories and industrial facilities preferably experience in recycling used oils or lubricants refineries or chemical plants
• Ability to read write and communicate in English with basic proficiency in computer use including MS Word Excel and email

• Monitoring plant operation including temperature pressure vacuum flow and tank levels
• Conducting regular inspection tours of the factory examining the equipment and ensuring its operational status
• Identifying and reporting any mechanical electrical or operational process-related malfunctions or abnormalities
• Supervising operators according to production requirements
• Preparing and maintaining daily production records shift reports and equipment records
• Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures SOPs and operating instructions and ensuring efficient and continuous operation of the plant
• Ability to work in an industrial environment including heat noise equipment machinery oils and indoor and outdoor operating areas
• The ability to conduct regular inspection tours of the factory and check equipment during operation
• Be prepared to work on a shift system including weekends and public holidays when needed
