Job summary

Larsen & Toubino Oman is seeking an NDT Radiographic Interpreter to assess welds and pressure-containing equipment for offshore modules. You will interpret RT results, document findings, and ensure adherence to project specs and international standards.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, coordinating with QA/QC, and supporting audits. Candidates should have experience in radiographic testing and a strong eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Interpret radiographic films and digital radiographs of welds and components.
• Evaluate weld quality and identify porosity, slag inclusions, lack of fusion/penetration, cracks.
• Review RT results against applicable acceptance criteria.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, client requirements, and international standards.
• Prepare and maintain RT interpretation reports, records, and traceability docs.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, welding inspectors, and production on repairs and re-inspections.
• Verify film quality, image sensitivity, density, and technique before interpretation.
• Monitor adherence to NDT procedures and quality control plans.
• Assist during client, third-party, and regulatory audits.
• Maintain RT records per project quality management systems.
• Support compilation of final quality dossiers and turnover documentation.

To interpret, evaluate, and document radiographic testing (RT) results for welded joints, structural components, piping systems, and pressure-containing equipment in accordance with project specifications, international codes, and client requirements. The role ensures the integrity and quality of fabrication activities for offshore modules through accurate interpretation of radiographs and timely reporting of results.

To interpret, evaluate, and document radiographic testing (RT) results for welded joints, structural components, piping systems, and pressure-containing equipment in accordance with project specifications, international codes, and client requirements. The role ensures the integrity and quality of fabrication activities for offshore modules through accurate interpretation of radiographs and timely reporting of results.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret radiographic films/digital radiographs of welds and fabricated components.
• Evaluate weld quality and identify discontinuities such as:
  • Porosity
  • Slag inclusions
  • Lack of fusion
  • Lack of penetration
  • Cracks
  • Undercut and other welding defects
• Review RT examination results against applicable acceptance criteria.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards.
• Prepare and maintain RT interpretation reports, records, and traceability documentation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC Engineers, Welding Inspectors, and Production teams regarding repair recommendations and re-inspection requirements.

• Monitor adherence to NDT procedures and quality control plans.
