Job summary

We are seeking a Pastry Chef for our upscale hotel in Nizwa, Oman. You will create delicious pastries and desserts for our fine dining restaurant, room service, banquets and events, showcasing creativity and pastry sourcing expertise.

You will design menus, oversee production, ensure top quality, train junior staff, and collaborate with the Executive Chef on seasonal items. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required to meet guest expectations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant.
• Certification in food safety is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute pastry menus aligned with our hotel's concept.
• Oversee production of pastries, desserts and breads for restaurant, room service, banquets, and events.
• Ensure quality and presentation of pastry items.
• Train and mentor junior pastry staff.
• Collaborate with Executive Chef on new items and seasonal offerings.
• Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients.
