Job summary

Al Safi Danone | الصافي دانون is seeking an experienced Accountant to oversee day-to-day finance and accounting activities for Oman operations. You will manage end-to-end accounting processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support working capital management in alignment with ASD policies and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a similar role.
• Experience in a distributor business model is highly preferred.
• Experience in the FMCG or dairy industry is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for Oman operations.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and aging report.
• Perform customer account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Follow up with the sales team to ensure timely collection of receivables.
• Oversee the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) cycle and vendor transactions.
• Review monthly expense claims and ensure budgeting compliance.
• Review Trade Marketing and Discounts & Allowances expenditures for compliance.
• Ensure all transactions comply with ASD policies and internal controls.
• Prepare accruals and period-end journal entries for accurate reporting.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Prepare and submit financial reports for the Oman operations.
• Provide ad hoc analyses and management reports.
