Wood is seeking a Control & Automation Designer for its Projects team in Muscat, Oman. The role focuses on FEED and detail design, developing C&A drawings and documents, and providing expertise in drawing systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum ITI or equivalent.
• 3+ years FEED/Engineering experience.
• 6+ years in oil & gas on major capital projects.
• 5+ years in 3D drawing systems (PDMS) and AutoCAD.
• Proficient with Aveva PDMS modules and review tools.
• Knowledge of API, IEC, NEC, NEMA etc.
• Experience with Electrical & Instrumentation deliverables.
• Familiar with INTools and PowerGen.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Works closely with discipline project engineers/designers and other discipline engineers in the delivery of project engineering/construction deliverables, quality control drawings and overall project support.
• Follow/ensure Quality Management System requirements in line with ISO and API Q2 2nd edition requirements.
• Develop designs in PDMS and electronic drawings (AutoCAD).
• Implement hand-marked changes to drawings.
• Provide quality assurance reviews and detailed checking support.
• Maintain and monitor drawing development progress.
• Meet project commitments and deliver to schedule.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time and cost.
