Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Oman is seeking a Quality Supervisor – Welding for an offshore fabrication project. You will supervise welding and allied activities in the fabrication yard, ensuring work meets approved procedures and project specifications.

Responsibilities include coordinating with production, engineering and NDT teams, verifying welder qualifications and equipment, and monitoring welding parameters and heat input to maintain quality and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all welding and allied activities (welding, NDT coordination, PWHT, repairs, etc.) in the fabrication yard.
• Ensure welding activities comply with approved WPS, PQR, ITP, drawings, and project specifications.
• Verify welder qualifications, welding machines, consumables, electrodes, and storage conditions.
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and NDT teams to achieve quality and schedule targets.
• Witness and monitor fit-up, root pass, welding sequence, heat input, and welding parameters.
• Review and ensure proper implementation of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and manage any deviations.
