Job summary

A leading engineering firm seeks a skilled professional to ensure welding quality and structural integrity on offshore assets in Oman. The candidate will review and approve welding specifications, monitor welding processes, validate parameters, and conduct inspections. Coordination of NDT methods and handling nonconformances are also key responsibilities. This role requires strict adherence to project specifications and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve WPS/PQR, welder qualifications, and inspection/test plans.
• Monitor welding passes at defined hold and witness points.
• Validate welding parameters including current, voltage, and heat input.
• Conduct visual inspections for defects in welding.
• Coordinate and evaluate NDT methods and review test reports.
• Manage nonconformances by raising NCRs and approving repair procedures.
