Job summary

TAT IT Technolgies seeks an experienced Network Security Specialist for our banking clients in Oman. The role requires hands-on expertise with F5 WAF/LTM, Forcepoint Websense, and Fortinet security solutions within enterprise banking environments.

You will manage, secure, and optimize the bank’s network infrastructure, enforce security standards, and ensure SLA compliance while leading security initiatives and documenting processes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with F5 WAF/LTM is mandatory.
• Experience with Forcepoint Websense/Secure Web Gateway is required.
• Fortinet Firewalls and security solutions experience is required.
• Knowledge of banking security standards and SLAs.
• ITIL/Change Management knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize bank network infrastructure in line with SLAs.
• Design and implement secure network solutions meeting banking standards.
• Administer WAF, proxies, load balancers and firewalls.

• Strong experience on F5 BIG-IP (LTM & ASM/WAF) Administration is THE Must
• Strong experience in Forcepoint Websense / Secure Web Gateway is the MUST

• Strong Banking Domain is preferred not mandatory

Candidates without hands‑on experience in F5 WAF/LTM, Forcepoint Websense, and Fortinet technologies will not be considered. Banking or financial services experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support the bank’s network infrastructure services in line with approved timelines, policies, and operational guidelines.
• Manage and optimize network infrastructure including routing, switching, load balancing, and security platforms to ensure high availability and performance.
• Design, implement, and configure secure network solutions that comply with banking security standards and agreed SLAs.
• Administer and manage:
  • Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
  • Proxy Servers
  • Load Balancers
  • Network Firewalls
• Perform configuration management, policy enforcement, performance tuning, upgrades, patching, and ongoing maintenance of all security and network systems.
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Enterprise Architecture, and delivery teams to ensure secure and fully functional network services.
• Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for network security technologies and provide support across departments and branches.
• Lead network‑related initiatives, implementation projects, and operational improvements.
• Ensure adherence to Change Management processes, operational procedures, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Enforce best practices related to:
  • Capacity Management
  • Network Resiliency
  • Security Hardening
  • Patching & Upgrades
• Support the preparation, maintenance, and review of technical documentation, operational procedures, and policies.
• Provide expert‑level troubleshooting and 24/7 operational support when required.
• Mentor and guide team members to improve technical competencies and operational standards.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with the bank’s policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Network Security and Infrastructure Operations.
• Strong experience in banking or financial services environments preferred.
• Relevant certifications are highly desirable, such as:
  • F5 Certified Administrator / Specialist
  • NSE (Fortinet Network Security Expert)
  • CCNP Security / CCIE Security
  • Forcepoint Certifications
