Job summary

SYNC is seeking a Mid-Level Accountant to own and manage internal accounting operations in Saudi Arabia. The role is hands-on and covers expenses, payroll, cash management, balance accuracy, and VAT compliance, ensuring strong financial controls and alignment with ZATCA and local regulations.

You will work independently in a fast-growing environment, maintaining audit-ready records and supporting month-end / year-end closes, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

About the Position

We are seeking a Mid-Level Accountant (3–4 years experience) to own and manage Bynow's internal accounting operations in Saudi Arabia.

This role is hands‑on and operational, covering expenses, payroll, cash management, balance accuracy, and VAT compliance,

while ensuring strong financial controls and full alignment with ZATCA and local statutory requirements.

You will operate independently in a fast‑growing environment and play a key role in maintaining accurate, audit‑ready financial

records.

Key Responsibilities

1. Core Accounting & Financial Operations:

• Manage daily accounting activities (journal entries, general ledger, reconciliations).
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure accurate recording, classification, and documentation of all transactions.
• Maintain structured, complete, and audit‑ready accounting records.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding customer payments.
• Prepare, issue, and manage customer balance confirmations.
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies with internal teams.
• Maintain accurate supplier balances and payment records.
• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and periodic balance confirmations.

3. Expenses, Payroll & Internal Funds

• Track and control company expenses in line with internal approval policies.
• Process vendor payments and employee reimbursements accurately and on time.
• Support monthly payroll processing with HR or external providers.
• Record salaries, benefits, allowances, and end‑of‑service accruals.
• Maintain visibility over company cash balances and bank accounts.

4. VAT & ZATCA Compliance

• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns in compliance with ZATCA regulations.
• Ensure correct VAT treatment across sales, purchases, and expenses.
• Reconcile VAT accounts and maintain schedules and supporting documents.
• Support VAT audits and respond to ZATCA inquiries.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors when needed.

5. Cash Flow, Reporting & Controls

• Manage accounts payable and receivable cycles.
• Support cash flow tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare internal financial and management reports.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Assist in improving accounting processes and internal controls.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 3–4 years of accounting experience.

Hands‑on experience with:

• VAT preparation and filing under ZATCA
• Payroll and employee‑related accounting
• Accounts receivable, accounts payable, and balance confirmations

• Experience in fast‑growing or operational environments is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and Saudi VAT regulations.
• High attention to detail, especially in reconciliations and tax filings.
• Professional communication skills with customers, suppliers, and authorities.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and follow‑through.

Tools & Systems

• Proficiency with accounting and financial systems.
• Experience with ERP or cloud‑based accounting platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with Saudi payroll and banking processes is preferred.
