Job summary

SPK Power Infra is seeking a Mechanical and Plumbing Design Engineer to design, analyze and oversee MEP systems for buildings and infrastructure. You will work on concept through detailed design, supervise installation and support testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Planning and organizational skills, such as time and resource allocation & commercial awareness.
• Knowledge of design software, strong initiative and problem solving.
• Experience of 5-8 years in design and supervision of services for Buildings and Infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems by designing and conducting research; applying mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
• Develops mechanical products by studying customer requirements and testing methods; planning and designing new production processes.
• Maintains professional knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications.
• Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety and reliability.
• Developing project specifications including inputs from other disciplines.
• Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, suppliers and customers.
• Using modelling and CAD to support modifications based on prototype tests.
• Collaborating with other professionals across engineering and related sectors.
