Green Umbrella Recruitment is seeking a Managing Director (GCC) to lead our international logistics business from Muscat, Oman. The role demands full P&L responsibility, strategic growth, governance, and strong stakeholder engagement with clients, ports, and authorities across the GCC.

The MD will build a scalable regional organization, ensure compliant operations, and drive profitability while managing a diverse, multi‑cultural team in a fast‑paced, complex cargo environment.

The Company is an international logistics and transportationprovider operating across the GCC region, delivering end‑to‑end logistics,project cargo, and supply‑chain solutions for industrial clients, including(but not limited to) renewable energy, power generation, infrastructure, andheavy industry. The Company focuses on complex, time‑critical, and oversized cargo, multimodal transportation, port operations, customs clearance, andregional distribution.

Role Purpose

The Managing Director (GCC) will be responsible for the overallleadership, commercial performance, and operational excellence of the Company’sGCC business. The role requires full P&L responsibility, strong marketdevelopment capabilities, and the ability to build a scalable, compliant, andhigh‑performing regional organization.

The Managing Director will represent the Company at senior‑executive and governmental levels, drive strategic growth, ensurerobust governance and risk management, and strengthen the Company’s position asa trusted logistics partner in the region.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the Company’s GCC regional strategy in line with Board ‑ approved objectives.
• Build long ‑ term partnerships with clients, ports, authorities, contractors, and key stakeholders.

Commercial & Business Development

• Own full P&L responsibility for the GCC region.
• Drive revenue growth through new client acquisition and expansion of existing accounts.
• Lead contract negotiations for major logistics, project cargo, and framework agreements.

Operations & Execution

• Ensure high ‑ quality execution of logistics operations, including:

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Ensurefull compliance with local laws, customs regulations, sanctions, andinternational trade requirements.
• Implementrobust internal controls, approval frameworks, and delegation of authority.
  

Requirements

Key Qualifications & Experience

• Senior leadership experience (Managing Director, Regional Director, Country Manager, or equivalent) in a large international logistics or transportation company (e.g. DSV, DHL, Kuehne+Nagel, DB Schenker, Bolloré, CEVA, etc.).
• Strong experience in the GCC logistics market, including customs, ports, free zones, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record in project logistics and heavy cargo, preferably in renewable energy, power, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Full P&L ownership experience and strong commercial acumen.
• Experience managing large, multicultural teams.
• Strong contract negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Excellent understanding of risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or
• related field.
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a strong advantage.

Language Requirements

• Fluent English (written and spoken) – mandatory
• Arabic is a strong advantage
• Additional languages are a plus

• Regular travel across GCC countries is required
