Job summary

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for an EU-funded project called “Egypt Downtown Facility.” The assignment concentrates on macroeconomic reform, fiscal policy, resilience and competitiveness in Egypt, with high-level advisory support.

The Senior Non-Key Expert will conduct macroeconomic and fiscal analyses, contribute to structural reform proposals, and prepare background papers and recommendations for policy development, in English with Arabic language support as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, macroeconomics, public finance, development economics or a related field.
• Fluent English (C1 level) with working knowledge of Arabic desirable.
• Seven or more years of relevant macroeconomic policy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform macroeconomic, fiscal and structural reform analyses.
• Contribute to economic assessments, policy analyses, and background papers.
• Support evidence-based policy development and resilience/competitiveness programs.
• Provide policy recommendations aligned with Egypt’s reform context.
• Engage with stakeholders to strengthen policy dialogue and implementation.

Senior Non-Key Expert – Macroeconomic Reform

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the proposal preparation of the EU-funded project called: “Egypt Downtown Facility.”

overall objective of this assignment is to enhance the effectiveness, coherence and visibility of the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between the European Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt by providing rapid, flexible and high-quality technical assistance in support of jointly agreed bilateral cooperation priorities. This objective will contribute to strengthened policy dialogue, improved programme implementation and reinforced institutional capacities of Egyptian partner entities involved in EU-funded actions.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Senior Non-Key Expert – Macroeconomic Reform to support technical assistance assignments related to macroeconomic and fiscal analysis, structural reforms, economic resilience, competitiveness, and evidence-based economic policy development in Egypt.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in economics, macroeconomics, public finance, development economics, or a related field.
• English: C1 level.
• Arabic is highly desirable.

Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience analysing macroeconomic, fiscal and structural reform policies.
• Experience preparing economic assessments, policy analyses, background papers and recommendations.
• Good understanding of economic resilience, competitiveness and reform programmes.
• Knowledge of Egypt’s economic and reform context highly desirable.
