Job summary

NTU International A/S in a consortium for the EU-funded Egypt Downtown Facility seeks a Senior Non-Key Expert – Trade & Investment to support policy work, market access, and private-sector development across Egypt.

The assignment covers trade and investment policy, investment climate analysis, feasibility studies and capacity building, with English (C1) and Arabic desirable. French is an asset and 7+ years of relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in economics, international trade, business, finance, or related field.
• English: C1 level.
• Arabic language knowledge preferred.
• French is an asset.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in trade and investment.
• Experience in market studies and feasibility analyses.

Responsibilities

• Support technical assistance assignments related to trade and investment policy, investment climate, private-sector development and market access.
• Contribute to economic competitiveness and EU-Egypt cooperation.
• Provide training and capacity building sessions as required.

Senior Non-Key Expert – Trade & Investment

NTU International A/S is leading a consortium for the proposal preparation of the EU-funded project called: “Egypt Downtown Facility.”

The overall objective of this assignment is to enhance the effectiveness, coherence and visibility of the Strategic and Comprehensive Partnership between the European Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt by providing rapid, flexible and high-quality technical assistance in support of jointly agreed bilateral cooperation priorities. This objective will contribute to strengthened policy dialogue, improved programme implementation and reinforced institutional capacities of Egyptian partner entities involved in EU-funded actions.

In this context, we are seeking a highly qualified Senior Non-Key Expert – Trade & Investment to support technical assistance assignments related to trade and investment policy, investment climate, private sector development, market access, economic competitiveness, and EU-Egypt economic cooperation.

Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in economics, international trade, business, finance, development studies, or a related field.
• English: C1 level.
• Arabic is desirable.
• French is an asset.

Professional Experience

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in trade, investment, private-sector development and/or business-environment reform.
• Experience preparing market studies, investment analyses, feasibility studies and policy recommendations.
• Good knowledge of trade and investment policy and private-sector development instruments.
• Experience in Egypt/MENA desirable.
• Experience providing training, capacity building sessions is desired.
