Job summary

Alila Hinu Bay is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the hotel’s cleaning operations and Public Areas teams. You will coach staff to uphold luxury standards, schedule shifts, and maintain a tidy, welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities include training teammates, monitoring room and public area cleanliness, ensuring safety and compliance with the Employee Handbook, and coordinating with Front Office on VIP stays and special requests.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury or five-star hotel environment
• 1-2 years in a supervisory role
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of luxury housekeeping standards and guest service excellence
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in English (additional languages a plus)

Responsibilities

• Actively build teamwork and enhance the team’s commitment to their work and the hotel
• Train staff to work according to hotel standards
• Recognize outstanding performance and address substandard performance constructively
• Schedule employees under supervision according to business needs
• Communicate with guests, suppliers, and colleagues in a friendly, tactful and professional manner
• Maintain grooming standards and a clean appearance
• Be flexible to changes in responsibilities and rosters to meet business needs
• Ensure room and public areas are maintained to VIP standards and coordinate with Front Office on VIPs and arrivals
• Oversee housekeeping general responsibilities including mini-bar procedures and incident reporting
• Prepare daily assignments for housekeeping staff and monitor equipment and supplies
