Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Sohar, Oman invites applications for a Lifting Supervisor to oversee all lifting activities on site and report to the Lifting Engineer. You will lead a team to ensure safe lifting operations and compliance with plans and procedures.

Qualifications

Diploma in Mechanical.
Minimum 5 years of experience in lifting operations in construction, oil & gas, or heavy industry.
Familiarity with cranes, rigging gear, and lifting accessories.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all lifting activities on site.
Ensure lifting plans and risk assessments are in place and followed.
Inspect lifting equipment and ensure it is certified and in good working condition.
Verify that crane operators, riggers, and signalmen are competent and certified.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings related to lifting operations.
Monitor weather and site conditions to determine safe lifting windows.
Liaise with site management, HSE, and subcontractors to plan and execute lifts safely.
Maintain records of lifting operations, incidents, and equipment inspections.
