Job summary

Tawteen invites applications for a Lecturer in Transport & Logistics to advance academic excellence through curriculum innovation, research and meaningful collaboration with industry, government, and international academic partners, and to work with the Faculty Dean to ensure delivery of modules.

The role also involves supervising student research and contributing to funded initiatives, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years academic teaching experience in SCM, Logistics, Operations, Transportation or Maritime.
Experience supervising undergraduate research projects.
Links to industry in the field.
Experience in curriculum development, module coordination, assessment design, and accreditation alignment (e.g., CILT, CIPS, Lean Six Sigma, AACSB, or related bodies).

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality learning and teaching on the Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme.
Construct, plan and assess student assignments.
Liaise with the Faculty Dean on all student matters including timetabling and support.
Undertake the role of pastoral services.
Engage in research and scholarly activity with a view to publishing journals.
Engage in industry collaborations and consultancy.
Engage with external logistics bodies and industry to enrich student experience.
Be prepared to travel (including internationally) on university affairs.
Participate in University meetings and events including Board of Examiners and Programme Reviews.
Maintain flexible working patterns including evenings and remote work to support activities.
