Job summary

Worley is seeking a Principal Safety Engineer to lead safety integration for oil and gas facilities. The role requires extensive TSE expertise, with a track record on CAPEX projects exceeding $100M and mandatory Shell/PDO/BP project experience.

Candidates should bring 20+ years in engineering/consultancy, 15+ years in TSE, and hands-on leadership in HSE philosophy, F&G layouts, and risk assessments. An emphasis on ALARP and design/operations safety cases is essential.

Qualifications

• Twenty years of total experience in engineering/consultancy for oil and gas facilities.
• Fifteen years in TSE for onshore oil and gas with deliverables development and assurance.
• Led major oil and gas projects as lead safety engineer (CAPEX > $100M).
• Experience in HSE philosophy, fire and gas philosophy, F&G cause/effects and mappings.
• Involvement in HAZID/HAZOP, bowties, ALARP, MOPO/SIMOPs, and DEM studies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and assure HSE and fire and gas philosophies and layouts.
• Contribute to FEA/FGDEA, flare dispersion studies, EPZ calculations, and QRA.
• Lead hazard studies and risk assessments incl. HAZID/HAZOP and bowties.
• Support design reviews, IPF, and safeguarding activities.
• Evaluate vendor documents and technical bids.
