Job summary

Wood is recruiting a Senior Piping Engineer to join its Projects team, delivering FEED and Detail Design. You will supervise piping engineers to translate design concepts into Basis for Design and project specifications, and develop layouts and stress analyses for critical lines.

The role requires leadership of a small team, coordination with Project piping Lead, and active participation in HAZID/HAZOP and HSE workshops. Fluency in English is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Piping Engineering Cost, Time and Resource (CTR) Catalogue for projects
• Supervise a team of piping engineers and Designer assigned to a project area (supervised by Project piping Lead)
• Contribute to Basis for Design, Basis of Design, and Project Specifications/Philosophies
• Develop Equipment Layout/Plot Plan based on PFS/UFS, Technical safety requirements
• Develop Piping Layout based on PEFS/UEFS
• Carry out Stress Analysis for critical lines
• Select / Develop piping classes based on MSR
• Develop / Approve specification for piping materials and speciality items
• Follow Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements.
• Initiate, check, and/or approve Piping Engineering Deliverables
• Provide input / Review other discipline deliverable as appropriate.
• Conduct Layout Review / Model Reviews and ensure timely close-out of all actions.
• Support procurement and construction activities.
• Participate in HAZID, Design Review, HAZOP, IPF and various HSE related workshop

Wood is recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer to join its Projects team focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work. This role is to supervise a team of piping engineers and designers to translate the limited information from the Concept Selection Report and/or Basis for Design to Basis for Design and/or Front End Design & project specifications as well as detailed design.

Supervise a team of piping engineers to carry out the Piping Engineering FEED and DD activities (Define and Execute stage) for an assigned area of a specific project in order to generate the relevant Piping Engineering FEED and DD deliverables on time according to DCAF requirements.

Experience

• TA 2
• Minimum 6 years in FEED and DD /ENGINEERING and Minimum 10 years in oil & gas Experience.
• Good communicator and good inter-personal/leadership skills.
• Experience in managing small teams and third part contractor/licensor.
• Fluent in English; Written and Spoken.
