Job summary

Ahmed Alyami Group seeks a Lead Estimator Mechanical for on-site leadership in Abqaiq. You will oversee mechanical estimates, review specs, and coordinate with engineering, procurement and construction teams to ensure accurate, competitive bids.

You will mentor junior estimators, maintain cost databases, and implement best practices to continuously improve tools and workflows in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical estimating expertise with takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and bid preparation.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and engineering docs.
• Experience with estimating software, ERP systems, and cost databases.
• Knowledge of codes and practices for mechanical works in industrial settings.
• Analytical and numerical problem-solving to identify cost drivers and risks.
• Effective communication and leadership to guide junior estimators.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical estimating process for construction/industrial projects.
• Review drawings, quantify materials and labor, prepare detailed estimates and bids.
• Analyze vendor quotes, maintain cost databases, and apply value engineering.
• Mentor junior estimators and improve estimating templates and workflows.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and site teams to ensure scope alignment.
