Job summary

The Client of Teach Away Inc is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher in Oman to foster the academic, personal and social development of pupils through high-quality, inclusive learning aligned with the British Curriculum. You will plan innovative lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with staff and families to support each learner.

We expect a certified teacher with at least two years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and a current teaching credential while upholding safeguarding and school

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or equivalent.
• Teaching credential or license required.
• 2+ years teaching experience in related setting.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment for all students.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the British Curriculum.
• Assess and report on pupils' progress and milestones.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, staff and parents to support learners.

The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for fostering the academic personal and social development of pupils by delivering high-quality engaging and inclusive learning experiences aligned with the British Curriculum Through effective planning innovative teaching strategies and continuous assessment the Kindergarten Teacher promotes high standards of achievement while supporting the individual needs of every learner The Kindergarten Teacher creates a positive safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity confidence resilience and a lifelong love of learning They demonstrate professionalism enthusiasm and a commitment to nurturing pupils intellectual emotional physical and social well-being Working collaboratively as part of the wider school community the Kindergarten Teacher builds effective partnerships with teaching assistants school leaders administrative staff and parents to ensure that every child receives the support and guidance needed to reach their full potential The role requires a reflective practitioner who upholds the school s values promotes safeguarding and student welfare and contributes positively to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning across the school b b b

Responsibilities

• Make every student feel safe and welcome in your classroom
• Be a role model for students in terms of positive attitude kindness and respect towards others
• Plan and deliver lessons that help each student achieve learning objectives and curriculum goals
• Create a clean and inviting classroom environment that fosters imagination and self-esteem through the presentation of student work
• Develop and implement a suitable classroom management system
• Adapt standard teaching methods to meet different student needs and interests
• Establish and affect rules for acceptable behaviour
• Apply and follow up on approved disciplinary interventions
• Make referrals for intervention and assistance where necessary
• communicate your needs and expectations to your teaching assistant
• Liaise with your teaching assistant to ensure maximum efficiency in the classroom and that each child is receiving the support he or she needs
• Support children on personal hygiene practices and self-care
• Encourage cooperative social behaviour through games and activities
• Observe evaluate and record children s social and academic progress
• Provide constructive feedback to parents guardians and administration
• Prepare and distribute written reports
• Prepare lesson materials and resources by the school s procedures
• Ensure equipment and facilities are clean and safe
• Select and use instructional methods and materials appropriate to the students and learning activities
• Utilize games music books art technology and other resources to teach basic skills and foster student development
• Collaborate with other staff members to promote the general health of the school
• Perform required administrative duties including attending staff meetings Parents Evenings and professional development events including those that take place after school
• Appear on time and use diligent supervision during your assigned break time and afterschool duties
• Uphold the school code of conduct and all school policies rules and procedures in a supportive and positive manner
• Communicate with parents through the parents portal on a regularly basis and you must respond to parents messages with 24 hours
• Ensure display boards are showcasing students work and a new theme is implemented every 2 weeks
