Job summary

Gulf Drilling International in Oman is seeking an experienced Lift Boat Captain to oversee offshore vessel operations, ensuring compliance with international and local maritime regulations and protecting crew safety and the environment.

You will supervise all jacking moves, undocking, navigation, and positioning between offshore locations, maintain watertight integrity, and coordinate safe helicopter operations, with a proven Master on self-propelled jack-up barges and STCW qualifications.

Qualifications

• Degree from a recognized Maritime Academy or University.
• Master License STCW95 II/2 - valid 5 years - unlimited.
• Vessel Flag state endorsement of Licence C.O.E.
• Valid basic safety training STCW.
• Proficiency in Rescue Boat/Survival Craft A-VI/2-1.
• Advanced Fire Fighting A-VI/3.
• Medical care A-VI/4-2.
• GMDSS A-IV/2 + endorsement.
• ARPA A-II/1 - No renewal.
• Security/SSO proficiency.
• Seafarer Medical fitness certificate.

Responsibilities

• Control vessel operations in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Safely undock, navigate, manoeuvre and position vessels between offshore locations.
• Maintain watertight integrity of the vessel at all times.
• Direct supervision of all vessel moves and jacking operations.
• Monitor operations impacting seaworthiness and ensure company procedures are followed.
• Ensure materials and equipment are secured for sea and weather conditions.
• Oversee safe helicopter operations.
