Job summary

HD Management Group LLC seeks an experienced Instrument Engineer – Maintenance & Reliability for our client in Oman. The role focuses on preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of plant instrumentation and control systems to ensure reliability and safe operation.

The candidate will troubleshoot DCS/PLC/SIS/ESD and Fire & Gas systems, perform calibration and loop checks, support shutdowns and startups, and contribute to root-cause analysis and continuous improvement while upholding HSE

Qualifications

• Experience of 4–6 years inInstrumentation maintenance & reliability in process industries.
• B.Tech in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with DCS, PLC, SIS, ESD, and Fire & Gas safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of plant instrumentation systems.
• Troubleshoot transmitters, control valves, analyzers and field instruments including pressure/ temperature/ flow/ level transmitters.
• Maintain and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, SIS, ESD and Fire & Gas systems.
• Calibrate instruments, perform loop checks and functional testing.
• Improve instrumentation reliability and minimize plant downtime.

Position: Instrument Engineer. Department: Instrumentation Maintenance & Reliability. Location: Oman. Experience: 4–6 Years. Qualification: B.Tech in Instrumentation & Control Engineering. Salary: Negotiable. Industry: Chemical / Ammonia / Urea / Fertilizer / Petrochemical.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant instrumentation systems.
• Troubleshoot pressure, temperature, flow and level transmitters, control valves, analyzers and field instruments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, SIS, ESD and Fire & Gas systems.
• Conduct instrument calibration, loop checking and functional testing.
• Improve instrumentation reliability and minimize plant downtime.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support plant shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning and startup activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, Permit to Work and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain calibration records, maintenance reports and technical documentation.
