Job summary

Alhashargroup in Oman is seeking a Facilities Technician specialized in electrical and general maintenance. You will perform routine and preventive electrical work, assist with plumbing and civil tasks, and support overall building operations to ensure safe and uninterrupted services.

The role requires an ITI or Diploma in Electrical, hands-on troubleshooting, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or within a team, including shift rotations.

Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in electrical maintenance with multitask responsibilities.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to work shifts or attend emergency call-outs as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical systems.
• Carry out plumbing works such as repair of leaks, blockages, sanitary fixtures, and water supply lines.
• Handle general maintenance tasks including minor civil works, carpentry, painting, door hardware repairs, and fixture maintenance.
• Attend service calls and resolve maintenance issues efficiently and within defined timelines.
• Conduct periodic inspections and preventive maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and applicable local regulations at all times.
• Maintain proper housekeeping of work areas, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with supervisors and promptly report major faults or requirements for spare parts and materials.
• Support other facility and maintenance team members during emergency or urgent maintenance works.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and job completion reports.

Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to carry out electrical maintenance along with multi-disciplinary facility maintenance tasks to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of building services. The Electrician will be responsible for timely maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems while supporting plumbing, civil, and general maintenance activities in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
