Job summary

IHG Hotels & Resorts is seeking an F&B Outlet Supervisor in Muscat to lead daily operations, ensure service excellence, and maintain hotel standards across the outlet. You will supervise shifts, manage stock, coach staff, and uphold hygiene and safety protocols while delivering personalized guest service.

You will guide the team in upselling, promotions, and smooth handoffs between shifts, supporting the Outlet Manager to meet revenue and guest satisfaction targets in a fast-paced hotel

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, F&B Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in F&B operations, preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Previous supervisory experience in an F&B outlet is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of restaurant and beverage service standards.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic F&B reporting.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation of the assigned F&B outlet and ensure smooth service during the shift.
• Ensure the outlet is prepared before opening and properly closed after service.
• Allocate duties and workstations to team members according to business levels.
• Monitor guest flow, table allocation, service sequence, and outlet efficiency.
• Ensure all F&B products are served according to quality and presentation standards.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with relevant departments for product availability.
• Assist with inventory, requisitions, receiving, storage, and stock control procedures.
• Monitor operating equipment and ensure proper handling and maintenance.
• Maintain the outlet as clean, organized, and aligned with hotel standards.
• Deliver friendly, professional, and personalized service to all guests.
• Welcome guests and anticipate their needs; address promptly.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and seek solutions.
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and positive experiences.
• Maintain knowledge of the outlet's menu, beverages, promotions, and facilities.
• Promote suitable offerings, upselling opportunities, and promotions.
• Brief the team before each shift regarding reservations, VIPs, promotions, events.
• Coach, train, and motivate team members to achieve service standards.
• Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff.

Job description

The F&B Outlet Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned food and beverage outlet, ensuring excellent guest service, efficient operations, high-quality standards, and maximum guest satisfaction. The position provides leadership and guidance to the F&B team during each shift, ensuring that hotel standards, service procedures, hygiene requirements, and company policies are consistently followed. The Supervisor also supports the Outlet Manager in achieving departmental revenue, cost-control, and guest satisfaction objectives.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
