Job summary

CCB Manpower Services is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead technical assurance and design governance across project phases in Muscat, Oman. You will oversee engineering design reviews, validate key assumptions, and ensure that all designs comply with international standards.

Job description

The Engineering Manager will lead technical assurance and design governance across project phases, conducting structured engineering reviews, validating key technical assumptions (e.g., throughput and recovery), and ensuring all designs meet international standards, safety requirements, and operational expectations.

This role also plays a key part in technical due diligence, value engineering, and standards development, ensuring projects are optimized for cost, performance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design reviews (30/60/90%) for EPCM and consultant deliverables
• Validate plant throughput and metallurgical recovery assumptions
• Ensure operability, maintainability, and constructability of all designs
• Manage and enforce engineering standards and technical governance frameworks
• Drive technical due diligence for project financing and joint ventures
• Lead value engineering initiatives to optimize cost and performance
• Oversee lessons learned integration across project lifecycle
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (projects, operations, ESG)
• Mentor engineering teams and support capability development

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s or Chartered status preferred)
• 15+ years’ experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry
• Strong background in owner-side engineering / technical assurance
• Proven expertise in multi-discipline design reviews and EPCM environments
• Experience in technical due diligence, feasibility studies, and capital projects
