Job summary

Employment in Muscat region seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to lead electrical services for plant and substation maintenance. You will plan, coordinate and execute preventive/corrective maintenance, ensuring reliable power supply and adherence to HSE standards.

The role requires knowledge of SAP PM, CMMS, and electrical control systems, with strong leadership and communication skills to supervise a team and coordinate shutdowns and field operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Excellent English language skills; Arabic is desirable.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant maintenance experience in gas/network sectors.
• Experience with SAP PM and CMMS systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical control loops, substation equipment and HV/VFD systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous power supply to plant, substations and buildings.
• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance within the section.
• Prepare procurement plans and issue electrical work permits (LOTO).
• Maintain and update maintenance history in SAP/ CMMS.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams for shutdowns and outages.
• Support MOC reviews and RCA activities for critical failures.

Execute Electrical Maintenance Works B-60, under delegated authority and direction from TL Maintenance B60 as Technical Service provider of maintenance and execution of minor projects, modifications in accordance with the technical standards to maintain the assets through: (1) Leading the design Maintenance Electrical services on planned / un-planned maintenance works utilizing best practice. (2) Coordination and supervision of assets, products and maintenance work in the designated area, (3) Implement plans and coordinate Electrical maintenance works; in order to ensure plant equipment availability, reliability & optimization of cost / resources while facilitating smooth operations of the plant to meet operational targets.

The position will act in accordance with the Group s Mission, Vision, Values & Strategies, as well as, policies, guidelines, and standards, supported by an IT Technology platform, HSE standards, Omani s government & other legal justifications, and best international practices in consonance with national objectives.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Accountable for continuous flow of electrical power to plant / Substations / buildings.
• Ensure application of best work practices in execution of electrical maintenance jobs.
• Responsible for electrical side of project implementation in Gas Network facilities.
• Implements the Preventive Maintenance (PM) plan within his section and execution along with work backlogs
• Prepares procurement plan for his section.
• Responsible for issuing Work Permits on electrical side and implementing Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure.
• In emergency drills or emergency situations maintains close liaison with On-Scene Commander and Operation Coordinator, for ensuring quick restoration of power.
• Participate in Management of Change (MOC) committee review meetings.
• Ensure electrical equipment maintenance history & reports are updated in SAP (CMMS)
• Implements the Corrective Maintenance (CM) plan within his section and execution along with work backlogs
• Ensure to raise Z1 notification for CM activity in SAP
• Identify the critical issues, repetitive failure of Electrical equipment, done and the RCA Recommendations implemented for the area
• Monitors staff attendance, attitude and implements discipline within the section.
• Prepare annual leave plans
• Full technical & manpower support during plants shutdown.
• Determines long term Electrical maintenance policy and oversees detailed planning of maintenance activities and programs.
• Reviews policies of warehouse materials/spare parts and determines strategy of their handling and procurement and ensures availability.
• Coordinates efforts within the Section to develop guidelines, specifications, best practices and procedures for maintenance
• Maintains technical expertise in functional areas.
• Carries out the technical evaluation of bids and generates the evaluation report.
• Develops IDP of Omanis within the section, prepares training programs and monitors their implementation
