Job summary

Confidential is seeking a senior QA/QC leader to oversee the renewal of quality certifications and the implementation of robust quality management systems across civil, electrical, and mechanical projects. You will coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal teams to ensure all processes meet rigorous standards and client requirements.

The role requires extensive experience in quality management, IRCA/ASQ certification, and superb leadership with Arabic and English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
• IRCA Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001:2015) or ASQ CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Quality Certifications Renewal Process by coordinating with certification bodies to demonstrate the organization's commitment to high-quality standards and compliance with certification requirements.
• Oversee the quality system implementation, ensuring that processes are effectively planned, implemented, monitored, and controlled.
• Develop and execute comprehensive quality management plans encompassing all quality assurance aspects specific to each project.
• Develop and organize training programs to enhance understanding of quality protocols and practices, equipping personnel with the skills necessary to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with consultants and clients, ensuring their expectations are met and exceeded.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including developers and project managers, to identify system requirements and ensure quality measures are integrated into project workflows.
• Conduct and oversee physical inspections on construction sites, evaluating activities and designs to ensure compliance with quality standards and client requirements.
• Supervise internal inspections in civil, electrical, and mechanical engineering disciplines, facilitating rigorous evaluations of project deliverables at various stages of development.
• Coordinate and conduct final inspections in collaboration with consultants and clients, ensuring the highest quality standards are met before project completion.
• Provide support and guidance to project QA/QC managers, leads, and engineers across joint venture and company projects, ensuring consistent application of quality control processes, compliance with client requirements, and adherence to established procedures.
• Drive the allocation of quality personnel across projects, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for effective quality control.
• Create and establish procedures for both corporate and project-based quality activities, ensuring alignment with best practices and client requirements.
• Collaborate with the estimation department to ensure accurate identification of quality standards and requirements for new projects, enhancing cost estimation accuracy and scope definition.
• Explore and implement relevant technology solutions to streamline quality processes and reporting.
• Research and incorporate industry best practices into existing quality processes to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancement within the QA/QC function and implement changes to optimize quality practices.

• Conduct quality risk assessments across projects and operations to identify potential issues, enable preventive actions, and mitigate risks.
• Implement preventive and proactive measures based on risk assessment outcomes to minimize quality-related issues and enhance overall project success.
• Develop and oversee documentation and bidding system processes, promoting streamlined workflows, accurate record-keeping, and organized project execution.
• Oversee data entry, filing, and document control processes, ensuring accurate and organized documentation that enhances the accessibility and reliability of records.
• Examine project requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback to project teams.
• Identify, record, document, and track nonconformities, issues, and observations to facilitate effective communication and resolution within project teams.
• Create and generate monthly reports summarizing key QA/QC project metrics, inspection results, and findings to provide insights into performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure that all QA/QC activities on construction projects adhere to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Direct and monitor the management and control of laboratories, ensuring proper functioning, compliance, and accurate results while preventing unexpected quality issues.
• Collaborate with laboratory managers, supervisors, technicians, and assistants to maintain high standards of quality control, contributing to accurate testing and reliable results.
• Review and enhance laboratory manuals, audits, and quality assurance activities, fostering quality excellence and continuous improvement within laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree BSc, BEng, BA or equivalent.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• IRCA Lead Auditor Certification (ISO 9001:2015) or ASQ certification (CMQ/OE, CQA, or CQE).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; Fluency in Arabic and English.
• 20+ years of professional experience in Quality Management System in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• A proven track record of dynamic and successful leadership in Quality Management System.
• A proven track record of deploying forward-looking strategic, managerial, and operational methods (including future/cutting-edge technologies).
• Extensive experience in leading, strategic planning, implementation, and performance management.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of governing bodies, committees, and regulatory organizations within KSA.
