Job summary

USI Global Recruitment is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to service and repair diesel engines and heavy vehicles. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, perform preventive and breakdown maintenance, and ensure safe operation of equipment at sites or workshops.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years of diesel experience, familiarity with heavy trucks/construction machinery, and a strong practical knowledge of engine repair. GCC/Oman experience is valued.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of diesel mechanic experience is required.
• Experience with heavy vehicles, trucks, buses or construction equipment preferred.
• Practical knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance is essential.
• GCC/Oman experience is advantageous.
• ITI/Diploma preferred but not mandatory if strong practical experience.
• Must have good troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs of diesel engines and heavy vehicles/equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and engine faults.
• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, cooling, fuel, and hydraulic systems.
• Repair or replace defective components and assemblies.
• Perform engine servicing, tuning, overhauls, and routine inspections.
• Maintain heavy equipment and vehicles in safe condition.
• Use tools and diagnostic equipment for fault finding and repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records and report major faults.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.

• Perform engine servicing, tuning, overhauling, and routine inspections.
• Maintain heavy equipment and vehicles in safe and proper operating condition.
• Use appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment for fault finding and repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records and report major faults to the supervisor.
• Follow workshop/site safety procedures and use required PPE.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Any Graduate / 12th Pass / 10th Pass all can be considered.
• Experience: Preferably 2–5+ years of relevant Diesel Mechanic experience.
• Candidates with experience in heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, construction equipment, generators, or industrial machinery preferred.
• Practical knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance is essential.
• GCC/Oman experience will be an advantage.
• ITI/Diploma in Diesel/Automobile/Mechanical trade is preferred but not mandatory if the candidate has strong practical experience.
• Must have good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
• Should be physically fit and willing to work at workshops/construction/industrial sites.
