Galfar Engg. & Contracting SAOG in Muscat seeks an experienced Cost Controller. The role focuses on monitoring budgets, performing cost analyses, and preparing monthly cost reports to support project decisions.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree with at least 5 years in cost control within main contracting. You will coordinate with procurement and management to control costs and forecast cash flows.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years as Cost controller with main contracting company mandatory.

Mansioni

• Oversee and monitor project budgets and compare actual vs. budgeted costs.
• Analyze all cost elements to ensure accurate cost monitoring.
• Prepare monthly costing against schedules with resource estimation and monitoring.
• Establish resource productivity benchmarks and track against actuals.
• Analyze material, manpower, plant, fuel, and subcontract costs and allocate correctly.
• Raise red flags for major cost risks and overruns.
• Verify invoices and claims from suppliers/subcontracts for proper recording.
• Coordinate with procurement to check purchases against budget.
• Provide cost deviation reports and improvement measures to curb overruns.
• Prepare project cash flow forecasts based on expected funds flow.
• Develop monthly financial project reports with variance analysis.
• Prepare the Cost To Complete (CTC) for the project and update quarterly.
