Job summary

USI Global Recruitment is seeking an experienced carpenter to construct and install wooden formwork for columns, beams, slabs, walls and foundations at our Oman project sites. You will read drawings, cut and assemble timber/plywood, ensure alignment and safety, and coordinate with masons and steel fixers to maintain quality.

The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years of shuttering/formwork carpentry experience, GCC or Oman exposure preferred, and has basic measurements and drawings literacy.

Qualifications

• Education: 10th/12th pass or higher.
• ITI/Diploma in Carpentry or related trade preferred but not mandatory.
• Must understand measurements and basic construction drawings.
• 2-5+ years of relevant construction carpentry experience (preferred).
• GCC/Oman construction experience will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct and install wooden plywood formwork for columns, beams, slabs, walls and foundations.
• Read and follow construction drawings, measurements and site instructions.
• Cut, shape, assemble and install timber and plywood according to required dimensions.
• Ensure formwork is properly aligned, levelled, supported and secured before concrete pouring.
• Dismantle and remove formwork safely after concrete has sufficiently set.
• Carry out carpentry repairs, adjustments and modification work at the construction site.
• Use carpentry hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with steel fixers, masons, supervisors and other site workers.
• Maintain proper quality and accuracy of carpentry work.
• Follow construction-site safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Keep tools, materials and work areas clean and organized.

• Preferably 2-5+ years of relevant construction carpentry experience.
• Candidates with GCC/Oman construction experience will be preferred.
• Experience in shuttering/formwork carpentry is an advantage.
• ITI/Diploma in Carpentry or related trade is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be able to understand measurements and basic construction drawings.
• Should be physically fit and comfortable working at construction sites and heights.
• Hardworking, disciplined, and able to work as part of a team.
