Job summary

44.01 Pty Ltd in Muscat, Oman is seeking a Concept Process Engineer to drive early‑stage process designs, manage deliverables across project phases, and align with technical, commercial, and sustainability goals.

You will collaborate with design contractors, vendors, and procurement, support commissioning and promote energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction in a fast‑growing climate tech company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant process engineering experience with Concept, Pre-FEED and FEED exposure.
• Proficiency in process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Plus.
• Ability to translate high-level concepts into executable designs.
• Familiarity with API/ASME/IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop Concept Designs and Feasibility Studies with scope, timelines, resources and cost estimates.
• Interface with Engineering Consultants and Design Contractors across Concept, FEED and Detailed Design.
• Develop and review core process deliverables: PFDs, P&IDs, HMB, equipment sizing and datasheets.
• Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS or Aspen Plus.
• Lead HAZOP/HAZID/SIL and Design Reviews to ensure risk and design assurance.
• Engage with vendors and support procurement with technical specs and bid evaluations.
• Contribute to process improvement and optimization, cross‑functional collaboration.
• Promote energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction; monitor trends like CCUS.
