Job summary

Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Oman seeks a Chief of Party to lead the ARISE Program. You will oversee biodiversity conservation, land restoration and sustainable land management, coordinating with regional offices and Omani authorities to achieve program milestones.

You will develop detailed work plans, budgets, and reports, ensure compliance with donor requirements, and guide a diverse team to deliver high-impact results within a USD 100 million program spanning six years.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in agriculture, biodiversity conservation, land/restoration and conservation, natural resources management, bioeconomy, economics, environmental science, or a related field
• A minimum of 9-11 years professional experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary environmental programs, with 7-8 years in a senior management position
• Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-stakeholder programs or initiatives
• Experience engaging government agencies, development partners, private sector actors, and communities
• Fluency in Arabic is an asset and travel to multiple regions may be required

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and supervise the ARISE Program team in Salalah, Oman
• Develop annual work plans, budgets, and reports
• Coordinate program design, oversight, and learning across stakeholders
• Represent RO-MENA and liaise with government and partners on program progress
